Half marathon: starts Avenida de Dom Carlos I, Esplanada do Castelo

Starting time: 09.00
- Mini Marathon: 5 km: for all ages / start: 9:00 a.m.
- In order to participate in the Half Marathon, the athletes have to be at least 18 years old ( born in 2007 or before)
Electronic Timing
All participants will be timed by a timing company using an electronic timing system. For this reason, the runners must wear the timing chip they will receive from the registration center together with the participation number.
Attention: Your time will not be registered and will not be included in the results if you do not have the timing chip attached to your shoe laces and not pass over the timing mats
The 18th Hyundai Porto Half Marathon will take place on Sunday 14 of September, 2025.
The organization is unique in its kind in Porto and includes two races: the 21,095 m half marathon and the 5,000 m walk, unclassified.
More than 10,000 runners took part in the last edition of the Hyundai Porto Half Marathon.
Besides the athletic profile of the organization, the parallel events create a social, environmental and touristic character, aspiring to make Porto the center of sports and tourism during autumn and the perfect destination for visitors both from Portugal and abroad.
Each step will take you through historic streets, tree-lined avenues and beautiful cityscapes, making for a unique and visually stunning experience. In addition, the course profile allows for fast running and personal bests, with a mostly flat route.
WARDROBE
Wardrobe is located at Start/Finish
The organization will provide a wardrobe for Half Marathon participants near the start/finish area. Bags can be dropped off by duly identified participants. Bags must be labeled with the participant's bib number. We do not keep items separate (eg: jacket, helmet, cell phone, etc.)
The organization declines all responsibility for any loss of property.
All along the Half Marathon and 5.000m course there will be Refueling Stops (support stations) for the runners as they are described in each race map.
Bottled water will be given to all athletes at the start, at the finish as well as at the support stations throughout the route.
Isotonic drinks will be available for the Half Marathon runners at a support station of the route and at the finish.
Kilometer Markers
There are Km-markers at every kilometer concerning the Half Marathon route.
The time limit for the Half Marathon is three hours (runners should finish until (12:00).

- Alameda Shopping – September 12 and 13 from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
No kits will be delivered at other times than those previously named.

The Half Marathon Expo is free and open to the public.
Each entry is considered to be non-transferable and final and implies full acceptance of the rules. No refund will be made for any reason whatsoever. No transfer of registration is allowed, sub any reason. Anyone retroceding his bib to a third party be liable in case of accident or caused by the third party during the competition. The organization is exempt from any liability in case of accident in this kind of situation
The organizers are not responsible for anything that may happen during the race, concerning health issues due to lack of preventive medical check. It is highly recommended to the athletes to proceed to all the appropriate medical examinations. The organization will not ask for medical assurance, as all the athletes participate on their own responsibility and the under-aged athletes on their guardians’ responsibility. Runners take part in the race on their own responsibility
The International Hyundai Half-Marathon was created and designed to offer a unique experience and record to the top runners due to the easy route and the perfect weather conditions of the event in September.
This race does not only address the top runners, but also the thousands of health runners of any age and level who will flood the city creating thus a festive atmosphere and will manage to promote the idea of healthy lifestyle with their participation
For those who wish to take part in a shorter race, 5.000m free pace is also conducted in parallel with the Half-Marathon. Nevertheless, this distance also shares the glamour and everything related to the unique route of the “Hyundai Porto Half Marathon”
The Hyundai Porto Half-Marathon is now a great athletic, cultural, social and tourist event which is already thought to be an institution and an important factor to the upgrade of Porto's centre. The main streets of Porto open exclusively to welcome the runners of the Half-Marathon. The main roads are converted into a pleasant journey for the participants, thus fulfilling the desire of the residents of the city and beyond, to run downtown!
